Game Modes Game Modes Game Modes

There are three different game modes to choose from, and each offer experience, loot, and gameplay twists.

Each Game Mode has its own unique set of levels, each with their own unique set of Visions you will encounter.

All three game modes have a scoring system that weighs different factors during gameplay, and all game modes and difficulties report to the Global Leaderboard system. The higher the difficulty, the higher the modifier for scoring.

Horde

Horde Runs are a game mode where you have free movement in all directions. Visions spawn from all angles and close in on your position. There is a list of objectives to progress through and a timer. As the timer counts down to zero, Visions become more powerful and gain different attributes. When all objectives are met, the run is complete, and Completion Rewards (and Daily Bonus Rewards if applicable) are rewarded. After that, you can continue to grind or find loot you may have left behind and leave whenever you would like. After all objectives are complete, a death will not result in a failed state but will instead be treated as a Success and register high scores where applicable.

Horde Runs do not have a selectable difficulty and is static and marked as either Easy, Normal, Hard, or Very Hard.

Extraction

Extraction Lairs are procedurally generated dungeons with a set number of rooms that contain a set number of Visions. Upon defeating all Visions in a room, you can choose which way you would like to go to find the Final Vision. There are dead ends and sometimes multiple paths leading to the end.

Loot and rewards are more plentiful in Extraction Lairs, however, to claim the Plunder, finding and defeating the Final Vision and successfully extracting from the Lair without dying is required, or else all loot is lost except Lucid EXP.

Invasion

Invasion Zones are activities where your movement is limited to left and right at the bottom of the screen. Visions drop down from the top towards you and can be erased or sometimes dodged altogether. They will continue downwards and away if they pass you. Time is measured by Waves, and each increasing Wave will bring more powerful Visions.

Visions erased in this mode will drop loot, including experience orbs, down towards you as well, and you will need to catch them to acquire them.
