Visions
You will encounter Visions in all activities, which are the enemies which will try to eliminate you. They come in four different tiers:
Trash These are the run of the mill, low HP enemies and are the most common.
Elite These are slightly more powerful Visions which display HP bars and a crowned
skull icon over their heads. They are typically faster and more resistant to damage.
Miniboss These Visions are unique and have much larger HP pools and can typically cast
ranged attacks and debuffs. They display HP bars and a ghostly icon over their heads.
Final Vision This Vision serves as the, or one of the final bosses in an activity and
will typically need to be defeated to consider an activity a SUCCESS. The Final Vision displays an HP
bar over its head, a dedicated UI for the HP bar at the top right of your screen, and there is also a
red arrow indicator on your character to point to its location if you need to locate it.
Visions have multiple abilities used to defeat you, including melee attacks, ranged attacks, debuffs, exploding on death, making other Visions invincible, possessing elemental overshields, impenetrable shields, teleportation, and more.
Drops
Defeating Visions (referred to as Erasing) will place an Experience Orb of varying power at the site of its erasure. These Experience Orbs will apply Dream EXP to your current run. Visions also have a chance to drop loot, which can include:
- Memories This is the in-game currency used to:
- Purchase items from the Vendor
- Purchase from and sell to other players in the Bazaar
- Reset Permanence Upgrades
- Materials These are used to craft all items in the game, which can create Casters, Implants, Keys to unlock activities, and other stronger Materials.
- Mementos These are specific items needed to craft specific Casters.
- Transient Chests and Keys These contain Casters of varying rarity and power, or Memories of varying numbers. Transient Chests require a Transient Key to unlock.
- Specialized and Heavy Charges These drops will fill up the respective charge pool of your Casters.
